If you are planning some business trip to Munich, make sure to arrange a little bit of your time for tour around the city.

Walking around the town

Make sure you won’t miss Schwabing district, while visiting Munich. This use to be place where artists lived. Nowadays it is very stylish area, with plenty of unique and elegant stores, classy restaurants, charming coffee houses, and popular pubs.

One of the biggest entertainment place in the city is Olympiapark. It was build in 1972 for Olympic Games. During summertime, a lot of festivals and cultural events are taking place in here. It also contains huge lake, with a lot of big fishes, which you may feed.

Every day, at 11a.m., 12p.m. and 17p.m., you can see a puppet show on Marienplatz. It name is Glockenspiel, and it shows historical events of Munich, such as wedding of Wilhelm the 5th or dance of the coopers.

If you like to enjoy panorama of the city, you should climb the top of tower, attached to St. Peter’s Church. It took “only” 306 steps up, but this is worth it! If you are lucky, and there is not a single cloud in the sky, you may even see tops of the Alps!

If you like tasty, German beer, but you have never been to Octoberfest, nothing is lost. In Munich, you will find couple of traditional brewery, where you can buy the same beer as at festival. In Hofbrauhaus, pub from late 16th century, you will also enjoy good, German cuisine.

If you are a party type, you must check out Kultfabrik Munchen. This is big entertainment area, with plenty of pubs, bars, concert halls and restaurants. If you wouldn’t enjoy one place you can try another one, it is just around the corner!

If you are a sport fan and you are a lucky man, you may get opportunity to watch live game of Bayern Munchen. During football season, they have a lot of trainings at their home stadium – Allianz Arena. Some of the games are open for visitors.

Even if you are not into galleries, you should check out Deutches Museum. You will find there a lot of technical, industrial or scientific exhibitions. You will see first electrical train, brothers Wright’s plane or planetarium.

If you like to get some souvenirs or locals specialties, you have to visit Victualenmarkt. This area is full of exotic and European fruits and vegetables, gifts shop, pubs and restaurants. You will also enjoy Bavarian spirit in here, like in the old times!

Capitol of Bavaria is a beautiful, historical city, with plenty of touristic attractions. Even if you are visiting it during your business trip, you should pay some attention to Munich. You won’t be bored in here, for sure!
